Ford Motor Company Fund powers innovation in education with more than $1 million scholarships annually to our Ford Blue Oval Scholars.
Student leaders are making a difference with amazing community projects and in schools worldwide. At Ford, passions are encouraged with contests rewarding outstanding proposals with scholarships and grants to implement unique solutions.
The Ford Driving Dreams Tour is designed to motivate students to complete high school on-time and to pursue higher education. The Ford Motor Company Fund signature program targets high schools with a significant Latino student population and brings Ford Fund educational initiatives and partnerships to a community. The FDD Tour includes financial assistance through scholarships and grants; high energy, motivational student assemblies; academic and leadership support; and the What Drives Your Dream? Contest.
The Tour launched in 2012 with the Irving Independent School District in Irving, Texas. In the 2013-2014 school year, the Tour was implemented in 10 high schools: four in Miami-Dade County Public Schools; four in the Dallas Independent School District and two in the Fort Worth Independent School District. It has visited 15 high schools in Florida and North Texas, and has positively impacted more than 25,000 students. This school year, almost 200 high school students received Ford Driving Dreams Tour Scholarships and became Ford Blue Oval Scholars in Miami and North Texas.
During the 2014-2015 the Ford Driving Dreams will return to North Texas and will visit seven schools in Chicago, Illinois.Learn More
