Ford Motor Company Fund is proud to join with the Detroit Free Press to offer the Journalism Scholarship contest.

Since 1989, Ford Motor Company Fund has awarded a college scholarship to one Detroit high school senior each year to help the student pursue his/her aspirations in journalism. The value of this year’s scholarship is $24,000.
Encourage development of future journalists through participation in the Detroit Free Press High School Journalism Program.
Each student that applies, must submit a letter of recommendation from a school teacher, their high school transcript, ACT and SAT scores, along with 3-5 samples of their work. In addition, they will submit a 300-500 word essay explaining why he/she would like to pursue a journalism degree and what they hope to contribute.
Open to Detroit Public Schools seniors participating in the Free Press High School Journalism Program.
