Historically Black Colleges & Universities Community Challenge

The Historically Black Colleges & Universities Community Challenge encourages innovation and educational empowerment while directly giving back to the African American community.

This HBCU Community Challenge builds on an existing Ford Motor Company Fund educational program focusing on helping to create sustainable communities. National radio personality Tom Joyner, a judge in the competition, as well as the "Rickey Smiley Morning Show," the country’s No. 1 hip-hop morning show hosted by nationally renowned stand-up comedian Rickey Smiley collaborates with Ford for this program that awards a total of $100,000 in scholarships and grants.
